Scotchgard for the Win!

I’m sure you’ve heard of Scotchgard – but is it true what they say? What does it even do, and is it worth the cost?

First off, what is Scotchgard?

Scotchgard is a stain repellent and durable water repellent made by a company named 3M.

What does it do?

Mainly, these 3 things:
#1. Resists – dirt won’t adhere to the fibers.
#2. Repels – spills stay on the surface!
#3. Protects – top to bottom, deep protection of the fibers.

Is it worth the cost?

Protection always seems
like a good thing, but in the end – how much does it cost?
Well, think about the cost of a carpet cleaning, the cost of spot removal and spot cleaning products. Also, the wear on your carpet from walking back and forth every day – how much dirt it brings in and the damage that it does. Think of the type of spots & spills your home is prone to – juices? foods? pet urine? mud and salt? Finally, think of the time it takes to remove those spills.
Carpets, rugs, upholstery, your favorite recliner – they get a lot of use. For just a few cents, Scotchgard is more than worth it to keep those fibers protected! It will keep those spots & spills to the surface and dirt won’t penetrate the fibers as easily – making it easier, and cheaper, for you to clean up!
