How to get chocolate out of upholstery
Chocolate… a wonderful comfort food treasured by practically everyone! But it’s not so treasured on your beautiful upholstery! To remove the chocolate spots from your furniture, you’ll need the following: a plastic spoon, liquid dish soap, and a small container.
- Using a plastic spoon, slowly remove any remaining chocolate from the affected area.
- Fill up the small container with 2 cups of cold water.
- Mix 1 tablespoon of liquid dish soap with the water.
- Dampen a clean cloth with the solution you just mixed. Starting from the outer edge, slowly begin to remove chocolate from upholstery. It should start to lighten as you blot it up.
- Rinse the area with a clean, damp cloth and then a dry towel to remove any moisture.
- Let it dry, don’t cover it up.
- Using dry-cleaning solvent, apply 2-3 drops directly onto the spot and blot the area using this towel until it has completely disappeared.
